Where Have All The White House Emails Gone?
A package arrived today with a copy of a new book, Where Have All The Emails Gone?: How something as seemingly benign as White House email can have freaky national security consequences. It is a topic that interests me greatly. And, it is written by my friend David Gewirtz, who is also Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of ZATZ Publishing, which publishes five popular magazines, including OutlookPower Magazine, Computing Unplugged Magazine (formerly PalmPower Magazine), Connected Photographer Magazine, DominoPower Magazine and WebSpherePower Magazine.
I was ready to jump in, when I noticed a little pink tag coming from one of the pages. I opened it up and there it was ... "Appendix B: An Interview with Roger Matus on Email Archiving and Retrieval." Wow, what a rush. I made an appendix. I was also quoted in other places. Thanks, David.
Of course, I showed my co-workers here in the InBoxer office. I quickly remembered giving the interview several months ago and granting permission to use it in the book. But, it is fun to be taken by surprise.
David is a good writer. He explains a lot of technical details about archiving and the White House in ways that make it sound like a thriller. You do not need to be technical to follow it.
